Post MTV Awards..

G'day all.
So it seems that every year when the MTV Video Music Awards are on in Sydney the line up of celebs gets bigger and bigger.
Last year, the host Ashlee Simpson and her sister Jessica came along. The Veronicas were a huge deal and this year we had Fergie, Pink, The Good Charlotte boys, the girlfriends of the Good Charlotte boys- newly besties Sophie Monk and Nicole Richie. (My personal faves!)
I actually found out last week that Nicole was set to arrive at Sydney airport at app. 7am on Saturday morning. As excited as I was and eager to go I just couldn't coax any of my friends to come with me and what fun would screaming at Nicole Richie be if I didn't have my mates by my side? That, and I was also one very hung over little girl on Saturday morning.
So now that I have missed out on my chance of meeting Miss Richie I am trying to find her whereabouts and track her down before she departs from the country. I have heard that she is staying at The Hilton in Sydney's CBD.
Last night was where the after-party of the MTV's were held so that is where all the celebs partied on til. Maybe I'll hack into the hotel's room system...mayeb not.
I may be making an appearance there this weekend.
I swear I'm not a stalker.
Peace out..

"This is Big Brother..."

Not sure if you're too concerned about the Big Borther bunch this year. But OMG we really are set for the BEST BB ever.
With the first week nearly over and already we know that there is a couple in the house, ex body builder Hayley and her beau Andrew are secretly trying to hide their romance. As hard as this may be BB decided to throw a very hot spanner in the works and add Hayley's ex boyfriend to the bix.
His mission is to put a strain on the couple's relationship and has been given tasks such as 'picking Hayley flowers and handing them to her, and generally getting in between the two.
Personally I am hooked on this show and I hate to admit it but I have been for quite some time now. When Marty and Jess first got together in the 2nd BB series I couldn't stop watching. I just couldn't believe how in love two people could be from just meeting on a reality TV show like that!
I know alot of you out there think it is crap TV, but if you do give it a chance I'm sure you'd be hooked too (whether or not you'll admit to that is another question!)
On Sunday night BB will reveal to the other housemates that the couple is in fact Hayley and Andrew and that Billy is in fact Hayley's Ex.
I wonder how Andrew will react to this....
Can't wait to see the result!

P.S Camilla (from last year's 2006 Big Brother) is pregnant!
Her partner Glen and her are very happy and quote "It was totally unexpected news but we're so happy". Aaaww! Hhmm there's a thought BB a pregnant woman in The House!

What I'm heart-ing at the moment

Let me know if I or anyone overuses that word but God, I heart it! (sorry)
So I guess everyone has heard of the old i-pod by now. We've all got one or know someone with one. But let's face it, anyone caught without WHITE headphones in their ear is considered So. Not. Cool.
If any of you are not down with the latest technology to hit the i-pod epidemic, here's the 411...
The guys over at Apple have partnered up with Nike; the world known US sports label have come up with the Ipod Sport Kit. For app. $49.95 you can have someone reminding you that 'you have 10 minutes to go', when your 'half way point' is and 'xx amount of calories you've burned'. If you need something to get ou motivated then this is it. I've been trying for months to get my boyf out and about with me doing some running or walking and he started to get into it but just kept getting bored. After buying him one of these we actually get jealous when one of us has gone for a workout with Pod and when the other hasn't.
This is how some of our convos go these days:

Scott: Babe I think I'll go for a run in the morning.
Me: OMG I am SO jealous I am too.
Scott: Well not if I do first.

Then, whoever's alarm goes off first is the winner, type of thing. Not really but you get the gist. AND it's SO cool coz if you both have one and go on runs at seperate times you can measure up against eachother and see how well you've done.
Ooohhh did I mention that at the end of your workout you get a famous sports star voice over who congratulates you on your efforts. The Personal Trainer of othe 21st century ladies and gentlemen. if only Britney new about these she'd be a new woman. And a wealthy one these things are such a good price for what they're worth.

Log onto http://www.apple.com/ipod/nike/ for more details.

Wow I should be a promo chick for these guys!
Happy ANZAC day all.

Love them or Loathe them...

I could only be talking about a certain person/s in all our lives.
Not our best friend, not our boyfriend, not your beloved pet dog. I'm talking about a certain someone who is all of those people, rolled into one. I'm not sure who this person is for you guys out there but I have two of them - my Mum and my Dad.
For as long as I can rememeber they have both been by my side. Changing my nappie's feeding me mushed up food, clothing me, taking me on amazing jet-setting holidays, giving me a gorgeous brother and sister (most of the time) to grow up with (not to mention fight with) and have fun with.
Recently moving out of home I've realised how much my Mum and Dad really do mean to me.
Going through high school I can remember being so angry at them coz all I wanted to do was to go out to the school dance or that party. Locking myself in my bedroom chucking the craziest tantrums because I didn't get my way!
Even though I did throw some tantrums I also know that I was very spoilt. Always getting everything I wanted and even to this day I still get so much from them. Only now I appreciate it.
These days, I can't wait to go home for mum's home-cooked meals (she was a chef in a past life - I swear!). I just LOVE catching up for dinner with my Mum and Dad. It's weird living out of home now and not seeing them everyday.
So Mum and Dad - I just want you to know that I love you very much and I really appreciate EVERYTHING you do for me.

Thought of the day....

Ever heard the saying "You don't know what you've really got until you let it go?"
Well I have just experienced a whole new part of my life which is making me realise that this saying is in fact very true.
I had a dream last night that I was back at my old job, I just walked back in there and they all went crazy they were so excited to see me, there were cupcakes, smiles and squeals....
As you know I recently packed up everything at my desk at Girlfriend Magazine. Got my bucket of fun, my stickers, photos and even my pink fluffy pen, packed it into a box and moved out. I moved away from the friends who I had conveniently been able to see 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Change is good, I kept telling myself (as did everyone else). Don't get me wrong I am a full believer in change being for the better of our lives and opening us to new experiences/opportunities. But I never realised how hard that transition would be. As I sit here and receive emails from my previous work mates I miss the good times and the squealing and the random clapping.
But they will forever be memories in my head as the best working experience I have ever had.
Love

Hackers Beware

My sister has one, my brother has one, my boyfriend has one, Nicole Richie has one, I have one - even Kyle and Jackie O have one!!
What do all these individuals have in common?
MYSPACE!
My question is? Myspace a phenomenon - No? Yes, I do think so!
It has given many lonely desperates a voice and many kids/teens and 20-something-year-olds a chance to show the world who they are - soft copy style.
With slide shows, bulletins, the chance to tell the world what your age, sex, marital status AND children situation/opinion is in one place; this site has truly taken on a life/world of it's own. I mean OK here is one pretty extreme case, but this happened before I even had a myspace. I was poking around with my bestie Phoebe when we came across this chick's 'space'. Never seen her before in my life, never knew anything about her, but Feebs and I found ourselves becoming very interested in her life. Her boyfriend was fugly, she wasn't so unfortunate looking and her friends pics weren't as exciting as my current slide show - ooh we also noticed that, that particular day was her birthday. Anyways, that night we just happened to be at The Wharf Bar in Manly when low and behold - there she was. Standing with her fugly boyfriend and her not-so-different friends having drinks (obviously for her birthday). This kind of freaked me out. I mean we knew her. Knew EVERYTHING about her just from stalking her myspace. WHAT.THE.HELL.
Needless to say two weeks later I was hooked on this 'new world' everyone was being exposed to, except for me. So I jumped on the band wagon and set one up.
Now someone has been hacking into it and posting random (and very compromrising) bulletins and comments on my friend's space's. Let me take the time now to apologise for these vulgar comments.
SO fellow my-spacers just beware, as this 'world' that is so very now, wil be so very not now if we all don't watch out for eachother. Set your profile to 'private' and only accept friend requests from people who are actually your friends.
Over and Out...

P.S I think my dog Mopsy is due for a 'space'!

Time to get back into it..!

It's that time of week. Time to start back at work time to put all my party shoes away from the weekend, clear all the empty bottles out of the house and time to start my diet, get back into the gym and organise my boyfriend's birthday for Friday.
He's turning 23 and I am broke! BROKE! What kind of a girlfriend am I? I can't even afford to get my boy a present (I have to wait til I get paid on Friday).
We went to the races on the weekend together which was so fun! We always have so much fun together whatever we do. All our friends pulled out coz of the rain but we kept to our word and braved the rain and wind. Photo is attached!
The other thing that's really bothering me at the moment... I haven't been to the gym in SOOOO long. I've just started a new job, as you know, so I just haven't been able to get into a routine where I can go. I have just looked up timetables and it seems that none of the classes coordinate with my life!!! AGGHHHH!! I love the gym. It was my life before I met my boyfriend and it was my life with my boyfriend for a while but now just being a plain old non-existent part of my life! I really have to get back into it and my goal for the next fortnight will be to go as often as I can. Or at least 4 times. I mean I'm paying $80 a month I may as well go as much as I can. So that's my goal I will report back in two weeks and let you know how my progess is.
Till next time bloggers,

How excitement!!!!!

I have to admit, I am one of those chicks who gets really excited about things, like REALLY excited. Let me put it this way, I have my ups and my downs (I'm just that kinda gal) so when I'm up, I'm so up it's not funny. I think alot of the time my boyfriend wants to press pause on me, coz I get into these moods where I am just so exicted for something I start to feel sick - seriously!
Anyone who knows me would know that if I'm looking forward to something in particular I will start a countdown. One of my all time fave examples of this is Big Day Out. My FAVE music festival OF.ALL.TIME. I'm there with about a million bells on.
I'll be jumping up and down in the hallways of my apartment at least a week before, counting down 2 sleeps, 1 sleep...(I have a point I promise). So this week I have been excited about Easter/holidays/no work/no getting up at 5.30am. Everyone is so exscited you can feel it in the air. The city is full of people who's minds are on the not so far away weekend. The chocolate they'll be eating, the sleep ins they'll be having, the drinks they'll be drinking (I'll be having either red bull and vodka or malibu and diet coke)and most of all the FUN they'll (we'll) be having.
I'm also off to the races on Saturday. A group of friends and I will be parading round Sydney in our best frocks along with our accessories (boyfriends with equally as gorgeous attire). What I hope to achieve at my day at the races:
1. Not walking out with my shoes in my hands
2. Being able to stand when I walk out
3. Being able to win some money on the amazingly beautiful horses that will grace the field.
4. Meeting my idol Jackie O and maybe Kyle, from the infamous Brekky show on the 2Day/Austereo network.
I will report back next week on exactly what my day at the races will involve.
In the meantime have a fab Easter!

How lucky we are...

Ever get the feeling you get alot a luck?
Maybe you wonder why it is that you get no luck at all. You have no money, you're not in the job you want to be in, you would rather be living with your worst enemy than your family (some days) ooh, and you're diet started last Tuesday, but so far you've had Maccar's for lunch 3 days in a row.
Now have a think about the people who lost most of their families in 9/11. The families that have lost a family member today in the Tsunami/earthquake earlier on today in the Solomon Islands.
Definitely makes me think how luck I am that I have a really healthy life and a healthy and happy family. I've got a gorgeous boyfriend who I love to death and who I know returns the affections. A best friend who's there for me through everything and knows what I'm thinking before I even do.
I think if we all stopped to think about what it was that really mattered in our lives, like the things that aren't materiallistic to us. We'd all realise how lucky we really are. As far as I'm concerned I'm richer than the queen herself!
