Some things to get you thinking...but not too much!

Time for a different type of blog today: True Facts....
Things that will make you think twice. And trust me they're true....

Ancient cultures, believed chocolate to be an aphrodisiac. Although this is not exactly true, chocolate does contain phenyl ethylamine which creates a chemical reaction in the brain similar to falling in love. Hhhmm must be where the old flowers & chocolate gesture came from...

Chocolate manufacturers currently use 40% of the world's almonds and 20% of the world's peanuts.

As of 2006, consumers spent more than $7,000,000 a year on chocolate related products. That's a hell of a alot of chocolate!

The blue whale is the largest animal in the world. The largest one to be recorded at the time of this blog was 110 foot in length and weighed over 150 tonnes! WHOA!!!!

A chameleon's tongue is twice the length of its body.

The top selling album of the 90's was Shania Twain's 'Come on Over'...personally I was NEVER a fan!

China has more English speakers than the USA.

35% of people who have had personal ads for romance are already married!

A cat's pee glows under black light - haha!

Here's one to try at home. Chewing gum while peeling/cutting onions stops you from crying.

There are only 12 letters in the Hawaiian alphabet. No wonder they don't have a worry over there!

And the last fact for today's blog,
I am officially boycotting Homebake this year. Hello, have you seen the line up? Ummm the highlight of the day is Paul Kelly. last year there was Silverchair, Eskimo Joe, Sneaky Sound System, And that's gotta say something? It's Day 3 of ticket sales and they still haven't sold out! That's right all Homebake tickets are still available. Not that you'd want to buy any! Just so you can get an idea of exactly what we're dealing with here; Last year tickets sold out in less than 4 hours.
Time to up your game Homebake People.
Maybe I could start an online petition? Get some good bands or we'll just not turn up! That will have to be just a whole other blog.
To check it out yourself go to

Let me know what you think of the line-up this year for Homebake and if they have really let you down.

Peace Out,

Girl Next Door x
