One last thing before I leave you this weekend...

It's ONE SLEEP til SPRING!!!!!
WHHOOOO!!!!!

Girl Next Door xx

Myspace who? (Don't worry this is not another typical myspace/facebook post!)

Thanks so much for all your emails/comments I'll be featuring one of your probs and answer each week so stay tuned to see if yours makes the cut!

I'll let you in on a little secret...I used to hate Myspace. Absolutely detest it! I was so against it and wanted ntohing to do with it! Then one day my boyfriend came home and told me he'd set up his own Myspace! I was so jealous! I mean, he was getting access to networking with friends and he didn't even have to leave the house! He had something to keep him amused for those last 15 minutes on a Friday afternoon when you're so excited for the weekend all you think about is speaking to your friends to get G-ed up for it!

So, of course I had to be apart of this. I logged onto Myspace and typed in my name, my very unique name which turned to be already a member?!?! To this day I don't know how this happened but it obviously was my fate. So I joined up added some friends, had some friends add me. Everyday was like a contest how many people could I get to comment on my page? How many friends did I have? How many celebs. How many of my friends were online when I was? It was hard to keep up!

I was addicted. Logging on as soon as I dropped my bag down in the morning til it was time to leave at night. There was no denying it, Myspace was officially apart of my life.

Then one day I logged onto Myspace and I noticed that no one was online. Not a soul. Out of my whole 74 friends. No one was to be seen. It was like standing in the desert of the internet without a paddle.

I had no idea what to think. I got out my phone and rang my bestie, "Why aren't you online, I commented you ages ago?", "Bella, I'm on facebook - you should get it, it's the new Myspace!"
The new Myspace? But I'd just given into the craze and was well and truly addicted. Was it time to go Cold Turkey? Was it time to move onto Facebook, the new and improved way of networking?

Well, I wouldn't know. There's no way I'm giving into another networking/internet craze again. Ever. I'm too busy writing to people on Myspace about my blog!

Have a fab weekend!

OK I know everyone's talking about it and everyone's seen it/saw it but WOW! That Lunar Eclipse last night was AMAZING! I'm not into the whole science of the world or anything but I was pretty impressed with the colour of the Moon last night.

Kath & Kim - entertainiment or just plain annoying?

What a warm Winter's day it is today!
With only 5 days left of Winter (including today) the countdown is on!
5 sleeps!!! til Spring!!
Doesn't time fly?

My boyfriend and I were watching Kath & Kim last night. I was sooo excited to come home and watch it after a rather busy weekend...and it was, well kinda boring. It's not that funny anymore...I was literally wetting myself on Christmas Day last year when I was watching the Christmas special with my fam. But this series....What a letdown!
The characters Trude and Prue are just a scream usually and last night they were alomost annoying. Don't get me wrong I LOVE Kath & Kim and some bits do still make me chuckle, but what's with this series? Is it the ad breaks that break up the funny-ness of it all? Is it Channel 7's influence? Can someone please explain?!?
Do you think Kath & Kim have lost their buzz?

Another subject I wanted to touch on for my fellow blogger Liv. You may remember a little while ago I wrote up a blog for her on Dating 101.
This is what she wrote to me today.
I broke up with the boy! *sniff sniff* I broke up with him because he was really horible to me and wanted to change me, but now everything is really awkward between us at school coz we hang out in the same group so now our friends have like split in half - half with me and half with him. Please help me, I don't know how to deal with the whole situation. I want to keep all my friends together, and and stop the whole of Year 10 from their endless gossiping about us!!
Please help me Bella!!
Love Liv

Liv!
The classic situation of what happens when you date boys in your grade...particularly at your school and it gets in the middle of your friendships. First of all girlfriend you need to forget about your so called 'friends' who have split away from you. True friends stick by you, no. Matter. What. No matter if you broke their fave heels or forgot their birthday. These things happen. But when a friend chooses someone else over you, you know they are not really your friends. I really don;t think you've anything to worry about babe. if you think about it they've actually done you a favour. You can stop putting effort into people who don't appreciate you for you. You deserve better than these 'friends' of yours. And that boy wanting to change you - what is that about? I thought guys were supposed to like you for you? You should never have to change for anybody (unless it's something like giving up smoking, or a bad habit).
Next time though I'd date someone out of school and boys who are older (not too much) by just 1 or 2 years are much more mature than annoying boys in your own grade.
Hope this helps,

My fave day of the week is here!!!

And I have some interesting new for you all! Mr Kyle Sandilands is moving to Los Angeles. His fiance Tamara Jaber has been living over there for quite some time now for her career. Kyle has actually been broadcasting from L.A a couple of times while Jackie is in Sydney and no one has known the difference. I know I haven't!
But good for him I was wondering how the hell their relationship was working when he's here and she's all the way over there. Just goes to show that no matter what love always conquers all!
But don't worry he'll still be hosting the other half of The Kyle & Jackie O Show from satellite and a studio in L.A. His move won't be til early next year.

Have a happy and beautiful weekend with your loved ones!

Californiaaaaaaaaa, here we come!

How is someone who is human this gorgeous. Seriously. Why are some girls so blessed with their appearance? I mean, has this even been photoshopped? At all?

Some things to get you thinking...but not too much!

Time for a different type of blog today: True Facts....
Things that will make you think twice. And trust me they're true....

Ancient cultures, believed chocolate to be an aphrodisiac. Although this is not exactly true, chocolate does contain phenyl ethylamine which creates a chemical reaction in the brain similar to falling in love. Hhhmm must be where the old flowers & chocolate gesture came from...

Chocolate manufacturers currently use 40% of the world's almonds and 20% of the world's peanuts.

As of 2006, consumers spent more than $7,000,000 a year on chocolate related products. That's a hell of a alot of chocolate!

The blue whale is the largest animal in the world. The largest one to be recorded at the time of this blog was 110 foot in length and weighed over 150 tonnes! WHOA!!!!

A chameleon's tongue is twice the length of its body.

The top selling album of the 90's was Shania Twain's 'Come on Over'...personally I was NEVER a fan!

China has more English speakers than the USA.

35% of people who have had personal ads for romance are already married!

A cat's pee glows under black light - haha!

Here's one to try at home. Chewing gum while peeling/cutting onions stops you from crying.

There are only 12 letters in the Hawaiian alphabet. No wonder they don't have a worry over there!

And the last fact for today's blog,
I am officially boycotting Homebake this year. Hello, have you seen the line up? Ummm the highlight of the day is Paul Kelly. last year there was Silverchair, Eskimo Joe, Sneaky Sound System, And that's gotta say something? It's Day 3 of ticket sales and they still haven't sold out! That's right all Homebake tickets are still available. Not that you'd want to buy any! Just so you can get an idea of exactly what we're dealing with here; Last year tickets sold out in less than 4 hours.
Time to up your game Homebake People.
Maybe I could start an online petition? Get some good bands or we'll just not turn up! That will have to be just a whole other blog.
To check it out yourself go to

Let me know what you think of the line-up this year for Homebake and if they have really let you down.

Peace Out,

Just one of those days...

Ever had one of those days that just goes on fooorrreevvveerrr.......
I'm having one right now. My afternoon feels like it has gone on for about 10 hundred years!

Have you ever had this?

I've always wondered why it is that some days are longer than others...... or shorter? I guess being busy can make time go faster. And time certinally does fly when you're having fun - right? My birthday/party feels like it flew by like the Wicked Witch on her broomstick, off into the sky before I could even get a quick glance. Then there's afternoon's like this one, they just don't want to end.
1 minutes feels like 1 hour, 1 hour feels like 1 day.......

What are you guys up to this weekend?

On the other hand though - how quick has this week gone?

Can somebody please explain?

Peace Out,

Like WHOA!

How rude am I to leave you hanging from a loose thread, (much like the end of a Home & Away episode)?

To tell you on Monday that on Tuesday I will be gracing this blog with memories of my amazing Saturday night, photos upon photos, scandals and memories galore. You have all been deprived fellow readers of Thoughts.

So today is the day. Unfortunately I don't have as many pics as I'd hoped (damn my temporamental camera. But I do have some memories to share.

Friday night being my big family dinner left me so full I could have compared bellies with Nicole Richie now that she's 5 months pregnant! No really, have you seen how much she's ballooned all of a sudden?
The BEST meal I have had in a while and catching up with the fam was quite enjoyable. Not to mention the array of gifts I was showered with.
From Mum and my sis a gorgeous Pandora bracelet which I will guard with my life. From Dad, a laptop which I had been crushing on for quite some time now and my bro - well he got that job at Channel V, courtesy of vraw www.myspace.com/vraw so I got a yummy Yen magazine. Not to mention the half a loaf of banana bread that I only just finished off this morning (made of coconut, almond meal and banana!)!

Then, there was Staurday. The day began with a present from my boy; a gorgeous pair of AM Eyewear sunnies (something else I'd been crushing on for months now - pictured right) and a fun day in the sun (one of the hottest bithday's I have ever had. Literally - 25'C).

Saturday night came round quite fast... and as my entourage rocked up to our meeting place the anticipation built and we continued onto Teppenyaki!
One of the funniest dinners I have ever been to. And the chef who was serving us with mouthfulls on chopped up egg/bowls of rice, seemed to be taking a very annoying liking to me. Having to hold my serviette up as a shield proved to be mission impossible as the chef seemed to have his black belt in kung fu!

After many laughs and some of us with more egg on our face than others. It was time for the majority of the crew to head home.
The rest of us hit up Ruby Rabbit for a much needed boogie and after dancing til we could dance no more, it was time for the night to come to an end.

All in all defnitely The Best Birthday. Ever.

Apologies from The Girl Next Door

Thoughts from your average girl next door will back with you tomorrow.

This little blogger had such a good weekend that she's still recovering and will be back blogging with you with pics and stories from her very fun, very celeb-like par-tay. You could even say that it was The party of the year.

But you'll just have to tune in tomorrow to see exactly what she got up to...

Jess takes to the runway

Jessica Simpson launches her swimwear line at Miami Mercedez Benz Fashion Week. The reason behind her sudden transformation and new figure is so she can promote her line.

Girl Next Door xx

Oh what a night!

For a Friday treat (and the theme of my birthday celebrations this weekend) I have decided to showcase the best celeb parties/after parties I have ever been to. OK so I may not have been to all of them but I was invited!
Enjoy!

First up we have Amy Smart & Emmy Rossum. They're at the Helio Ocean summer party in L.A. Held at the Sunset Tower hotel's swank Terrace, it was transformed into a Sunset Strip beach scape complete with white-slip covered couches, sand-filled hurricane vases, and orchids in seashell-filled bowls. Pretty hot!

Lauren Conrad or L.C as she's known from her days at Laguna Beach is one famous intern. Jason Wahler a newby in the world of reality, hit the LG House in Malibu to celebrate the new season of The Hills.
Looking good!

Who could forget Victoria and David Beckham's Welcome to America Party, held by The Cruises themselves. Their guest list included: Eva Longoria, Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith. But where were Suri, Romeo, Brooklyn and whatever their third son's name is?? Home with the babysitter no doubt?

Hope you all have a gorgeous weekend. Enjoy the sunshine fellow blogettes/ers!

Peace out,

Girl Next Door xx

P.S Don't these pics just make you believe that summer is truly on it's way!
P.P.S Just to clarify it's 1 sleep til my Birthday/Party!!!!!

First date Jitters

Thank you all so much for all your comments!
But Liv's comment obviously grabbed me first as she is going on a date and needs some tips. I know alot of you chicks out there need a tip or too when it comes to this topic. Not that I'm an expert or anything but I have had my fair share of dates (with my boyf of course!).

For starters: What to wear?
Now you don't want to come on too strong on your first date. Yes, you do want to look sexy but you don't want him talking to your chest the whole night - believe me it's not nice! No g-strings hanging out the top of your skirt, no crazy Jordan-cleavage and no bright red lipstick - leave that for Christina.

You want him to see you as you. What a cool chick you are , one who knows what she wants..so what I would wear would be something that screams ME. Something that is cute, flattering, comfortable and easy to pull off. Maybe jeans and a cute top? A cute dress and a cardi. Some leggings to keep you warm.

You don't want to be carrying round your shoes at the end of the night either so wear some comfortable shoes. I'm not saying get your uggies out or anything but definitely some cute flats or something with a slight heel will look killer-hot.

Second course: Hair and Makeup
As I said earlier nothing too full on. Guys actually like it when girls don't wear alot of makeup. They think it's intimidating (not to mention scary) if a chick has caked it on. So I'm thinking less is definitely more here AND au-natural is the way to go. Just some light powder, make sure you highlight your gorgeous cheeckbones with some blush or bronzer a little bit of eye make up, mascara and you're set.

Main Meal: Etiquette
I know you already know how to be a lady. And eat with your mouth closed, etc.
Just be yourself, he obviously already likes you if he's asked you out all the hard work is done.

Dessert: Last things to remember...

Off-Limits Topics include: your ex boyfriend, your period (or anything to do with the topic).

Just be happy, yourself and don't forget to smile and you'll be on your way to Date 2.
Let me know how you go Liv!

P.S Mary-Kate and Ash Olsen know how to dress for their dates! How hot do they look?

Mum-To-Be

Is it really Thursday...already?

I totally tried a new class at the gym today. It went for half an hour I was thinking 'hell yes! A class that goes for half an hour, what a breeze' uh-uh. No breeze but more like a tornado! Ab Blast was a gruelling half an hour ab/core workout, which - don't get me wrong was soooo good for my tummy, but whoa was it hard!

I am officially obsessed though! The Japanese instructor was really cute coz she kept cutting 's' off words and every time we would do a crunch she'd be like 'hutt, hutt' I felt like I was in an ad for karate or something.

In other news, Miss Aleisha - Australia's New Sweetheart took the winner's crown for this year's Big Brother and although I loved the very kind and entertaining Zach, I did think Aleisha deserved to take the crown having been there from Day 1 and all.

The Countdown to the weekend is on and I can't wait! It's 10 days til my birthday so I have to get into gear. Time to hit the shops for that perfect outfit....well maybe just an accessory.

Love to you all,

Girl Next Door xx

P.S Has anyone ever wondered what that 'Premature Ejaculation' ad on 2dayFM is all about? Me neither and I really don't need to be hearing it when I'm sitting here having my morning snack.
